Our School

We are a small one form entry school, catering for children aged from 3 to 11. There are 7 classes, including our maintained Nursery. The classes are organised into age groups with a Nursery and Reception class, Year 1, a Year 2 and 3 class and a class in each age group from Year 4 through to Year 6.

Our school values of belonging, relationships, curiosity, resilience, respect and lifelong learning are very important to us. Children learn about these values and are taught how they can show them in their behaviour and learning.

Our school motto is ‘Creating the future today’. Our mission is to ignite and awaken the curiosity of our pupils and staff, through engaging experiences which inspire excellence and innovation and produce creative problem solvers and thinkers. We strive to create opportunities to build a ‘toolkit’ of skills, learning behaviours and core values that will help them to develop as an individual and as part of our school, local and global community.

We provide a rich and varied curriculum that enables everyone to succeed. We have high expectations of our children and offer lots of support to help them achieve. We believe everyone should enjoy school and we plan lots of exciting activities to make learning fun. We expect children to treat one and other in a friendly and fair manner. We take seriously our responsibility to protect and keep children in our care safe.

We know that our pupils learn best when school and families work together. We work in partnership with parents and carers to support them and are always happy to meet to discuss your child’s progress.

We encourage our children in their journey to become citizens of the future with a lifelong passion for learning who feel empowered to strive for success through a confident belief that they can dare to dream and reach their goals.
