South Stockport Cross-Country Championships

In stark contrast to the blizzard conditions of the final Woodbank race, thisevent took place in unseasonably, blistering heat.  The competition was fierce too and, unlike last year, we certainly didn’t have it all our own way.

Imogen got us off to the perfect start by winning the Year 3/4 girls’ racein style.  After that, it was all about solid performances from every other member of the team.  The Year 5/6 Girls were particularly impressive and they won their team event.  It was a tense wait for the final results but, in the end, we were delighted to be crowned overall champions for the third year in a row; what a fantastic effort!

Congratulations to everyone who was selected to represent the school at this event, it was the most competitive process we’ve ever had.

Thank you to Mrs Hill and all the parents who gave their support to the children and helped with transport.
