Ending the Season on a High!

The High Lane Cross-Country team managed to retain their title at the South Stockport Cross-Country Championships on Thursday and they did it in style. On the night, we managed to win 3 out of the 4 team races and there were some incredible individual performances too.

Imogen started the night of success by winning the Year 3/4 girls’ race and with strong runs from the rest of the team (Lauren, Mia, Hannah and Felicity) we also won the team event.

The year 3/4 boys dominated their race, taking all 3 individual medals and the team trophy. The final results were Liam (1st), Isaac (2nd) and Findlay (3rd), with Sam not far behind in 7th and Harley and Oliver completing the team.

Our final individual medal came in the Year 5/6 girls’ race where Hannah W battled hard to finish in 3rdplace.  Sophie, Amelia, Hannah K, Freya and Jessica all helped to win the team trophy in this event too.

Strong runs also from our Year 5/6 boys’ team (Will, Zak, Jonathan, Casper and Dan) meant that we ended the night with our name on the shield for the second year in a row.

Congratulations to everyone who was selected to represent the school at this event and well done for producing such a phenomenal result.

Finally, special thanks to Mrs Hill and all the parents who have given their support to the club and offered transport throughout the year; we wouldn’t be able to enter all these events if it wasn’t for your help and, as you can see, it’s worth it when we do.
