No Stopping High Lane Runners

Once again, we had a brilliant turnout for the second race of the Schools’ Cross-Country League at Woodbank Park together with some fantastic results. The Y3/4 girls are proving to be a formidable team with Mia (12th) showing a huge improvement to join Sophie (10th), Imogen (13th) and Lauren (14th) near the front of the pack to keep High Lane in 2nd place overall.

The Year 3/4 boys’ race saw five children competing for the first time and it didn’t take Liam (Y4) long to impress as he finished in 9th place, just behind Isaac in 7th place. With our other runners also putting in strong performances, High Lane were the third best team on the day and currently lie in 4th place in a very tight competition.

Both the year Y5/6 girls’ and boys’ teams made improvements in their scores this week to leave them in 6th place and 5th place respectively.

Congratulations to everyone for another successful Saturday.

This week’s other runners were:-

Beth, Rose, Lewis, Jordan and Theo (Year 3)
Emily, Isobel, Felicity, George, and Finlay (Year 4)
Amelia, Jessica, Sophie, William, Jonathan and Zak (Year 5)
Hannah W, Eleanor B and Dan (Year 6)
