Year 2 Spring Fantastic Fire Fighters

Britain’s Tim Peake Begins his spacewalk!

Today we all met in the hall to watch Major Peake step into space as part of a six-and-a-half-hour mission to repair a broken power unit on the International Space Station. We all sat in amazement as we watch him check his space suit and the equipment on the outside of the Space Station.  We even got a glimpse of the Earth!

Welcome Back

Happy New Year.  I hope your Christmas and New Year was happy and full of fun and laughter. Our first topic will be ‘Fire! Fire! Fantastic Fire Fighters.’

What fractions can you spot? We played a fraction game on the playground to help us learn 1/4, 1/2, 2/4, 3/4 and 1/3.
